Emergency Assistance Program

Each Thanksgiving, Christmas & Chanukah and Easter & Passover holiday, food baskets are prepared and delivered to individuals and families in need.  Through the generosity of community members, schools, houses of worship and local businesses, our food drives provide all the ingredients for a traditional holiday meal, plus food supplies for a week, to approximately 40 families each holiday.

If you are interested in donating food to be used for our holiday food baskets, please reference this page which itemizes the various items that are needed in our holiday baskets.

Donations of non-perishable food items (e.g. canned foods) are accepted year-round. Drop off can be coordinated by calling (914)-271-4979 or by emailing crotoncaring@gmail.com.

In advance of each school year, school supplies are provided at no cost to Croton-on-Hudson students in need.

Families interested in this program should contact the Croton Caring Committee by phone at (914)-271-4979 or via email at crotoncaring@gmail.com.

Emergency Assistance may be provided to individuals and families experiencing an acute need. Support for food or other expenses may be available. Please call (914)-271-4979 if you would like more information about this Program.

Please Note: This Program is intended to provide urgent, one-time support for individuals and families. Ongoing support for food and other needs may be available through other organizations. Please see our Resources page for more information.
